Used in Color TVs in Iran :
Pars Electric Co., the largest TV maker in the country, awarded
this project to HARC in order to estimate the local market capacity
and demand in future. Market study, demand forecast for various
kinds of color TVs in Iranian market, and technologies applied was
among the topics of the resulting report.
2- Market Analysis and Data Gathering on Technical and Commercial
Situation of HVAC companies and HVAC components manufacturers:
The project carried out in winter 1999, was aimed at analyzing market,
production, demand, export-import of HVAC products in Iran. It also
identified 37 main manufacturers in Iran from viewpoints of production
capacity and product range.
The products surveyed were: boilers, central heating systems, heating
and cooling packages, chillers, unit heaters, heat exchangers, air-washers,
etc.
3- Market Study and Data Gathering on Manufacturers of Refrigeration
Systems (air-conditioners, commercial refrigerators, chest freezers,
ice makers, water coolers, truck refrigerators, blood refrigerators):
The project carried out during the summer of 2000, identified the
production, demand, export and import market for 8 groups of products,
and the industries’ features, as well as its
future forecast.
4- Study of Local Demand and Forecasting for Different Models
of Color TVs:
The project, carried out during summer and Winter 2002, included
site studies e.g., retailers, customers in various cities, to identify
demand for all the models of TV sets. It was also included information about major international
TV manufacturers and their strategies, economic and financial performances,
as well as production and trade statistics throughout the world.
5- Forecasting Demand for Washing Machines in Iran and Forecasting
Pars Appliance Co. (PAMCO) Share in the Market:
PAMCO, looking for a comprehensive report on the situation of washing
machine market in Iran and its share from the market. The problems,
customers’ preferences, retailer’s views, market share
for each brand, and the mechanism of increasing Pars washing machines’
share of the market were topics for the research.
The results, including a 10-year forecast of the market, was
obtained from site studies and available information collected from national
and international sources was published at 2002.
6- Study of the Impact of Using Locally Made Necchi Compressors
in Iranian Refrigerators on their Market:
Necchi Compressors, which are made by Iran Compressor Manufacturing
Co. (ICMC), are the only locally made compressors in Iran. As there
are also other foreign made compressors available in Iran, the survey
was conducted on the effects of producing refrigerators using Necchi
compressors from the viewpoint of the market’s reaction to
it. Taking into account that the foreign made compressors are deemed
having better quality in customers’ minds. To assess the effect,
HARC researchers collected data from various sources including retailers
and customers. The survey was conducted in 2001.
7- Market Study
and Demand Forecast for Wall Mounted, Gas Burning, Unit Heaters
in Iran:
The project carried out in 1998, was a feasibility study for manufacturing
of this product for Butane Co.
Information regarding residential and commercial apartment buildings’
specification were collected and processed.
8- Production, Imports, and Market Forecast for Electromotors and
Transformers in Iran:
The project, conducted in 1997 including feasibility study and
market study throughout Iran has been done for Butan Co. The demand for Electromotors and transformers
with capacities under 3 kW in appliance industries in Iran were surveyed and
the demand was forecasted for next 10 years.
