1- Compilation of the Strategy for Development of Home Appliances Industry in Iran (basic statistics on refrigerators, freezers, vacuum cleaners, air-conditioners, evaporative coolers, gas ranges, washing machines, and small appliances)

According to the second development plan for the country, and taking into account of necessity of revisions required in home appliance industry’s development strategy, the MoIaM awarded the project to HARC. The project studied the current situation for all of afore mentioned appliances comprehensively through numerous meetings held at MoIaM that lasted for two years.

The result was an eight-volume report for each product and provided guidelines for them according to main goals defined in the national development plan.

2- Feasibility Study on Production of Refrigerators Thermostat:

The project, studied the feasibility of producing residential refrigerators thermostat in Iran in 1997. 

3- Comparison of Technical-Economic Aspects of Central Heating Units with respect to Wall Mounted Package Units:

A thermodynamic model was developed on specifications of residential buildings in a vast area of Iran and the cost of providing heated water through central heating units as well as wall mounted, gas burning package units were calculated. Consequently a way for estimation of uncommon costs of the two water heating systems were formulated, and finally, comparing the costs, the preferences of each system over the other were identified, according to building types in which, they are supposed to be used. The market for each was also estimated for next 5 years. The project was carried out in 1998.

4- Comparison of Technical-Economical Specifications of Plate Heat Exchangers with respect to Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers in Wall Mounted Package Units:

The project carried-out for Butane Co., was reaching for possibility of using Plate Heat Exchangers instead of current Shell and Tube components in use.

Therefore a comprehensive study of their specifications, performances, and their related production were carried out.

The project was implemented in 1998.
